Cheryl's work with our Career & Leadership team at UNC Kenan-Flagler helped us quickly identify opportunities for growth that would add value to and positively impact both the team and the student experience. I had the pleasure of working with Cheryl shortly after I made a significant career change. Switching industries and also transitioning to a much smaller company than what I was accustomed to, I had a huge learning curve to navigate. Most importantly, Cheryl is a great listener, motivator, and mentor. Her direct approach challenges you to think differently and embrace the uncomfortable process of change. Faced with big decisions, pressure to drive revenue and hiring good personnel around you, even senior leaders sometimes doubt themselves. Cheryl helped me appreciate my strengths, understand my weaknesses, and gave me the confidence I needed to fight through challenging times. Focusing on the positive, understanding that "good" is sometimes more efficient than "perfect", and being more purposeful with every minute of my day were key concepts that truly helped me become better under Cheryl's guidance.

Cheryl’s feedback has greatly impacted both my personal and professional life. I use it daily to evaluate my approach and determine if I am applying assumptions that cause roadblocks.
